Ok, there have been some new developments and new dates/cities (Columbus OH, London UK, and Miami FL) have been added for the FILM IS NOT DEAD workshop for 2011. This is the schedule/openings:
Jan 17th-19th - Melbourne AU (SOLD OUT)
Feb 9th (one day) - Columbus OH (registration opened today and there are 5 spots left)
July 18th-20th - Seattle WA (SOLD OUT)
July 25th-27th - Seattle WA (5 spots left)
Aug 8th-10th - London UK (registration opened today and there are 9 spots left)
Oct 3rd-5th - UTAH (7 spots left)
Dec 5th-7th - Miami/South Beach FL (registration opened as I wrote this so there are 14 spots :).
As it goes from city to city, nothing has changed content wise for the workshop besides the fact that I'll be raving about the new Kodak Portra 400. The details of what is covered at the workshop can be found on the workshop website (specifically page 5 of either site) HERE. I know, the website needs a re-haul and needs to be updated but know this, it is all in the works for a new website/content coming very (RELATIVELY) soon.
The workshop is $2000 per attendee (limited to 14 attendees) and the 1 day workshop (Columbus) is $750 (limited to 6 attendees). To reserve your spot requires a $500 retainer with the balance due 1 month before the start date of your workshop.
The cost includes 3 days of lecture, shooting, breakfast, lunch, film provided by both Fuji and Kodak (ONE LOVE!), a FILM IS NOT DEAD Workbook which is a 40 page FINAO Elements album containing all topics covered in the workshop, an accompanying DVD (40 pages is so limiting!!!), some goodies from Richard Photo Lab, and goodies from Instaproofs as well. Each attendee also receives a FILM IS NOT DEAD t-shirt as well :).
Also included in the cost of tuition is access to the FILM IS NOT DEAD forum which consists of past, current and future attendees of the workshop. And it has been mentioned in a couple testimonials before but, it is worth it's weight in gold for sure :).
Speaking of testimonials, if you want to read what other folks have said about the 3 day workshop, or what others have said about a 1 day workshop, or if you are a digital shooter and want to know what other digital shooters have said about this FILM workshop, all of it can be found by clicking HERE.
If you are interested in attending, please drop me a line. Also, more information can be found on the FILM IS NOT DEAD blog HERE.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully, I'll see you in 2011.
