FUJI FP-3000B - 85 yrs old

Callie's Grandpa turned 85 and we had a party.

This is the first post I've done with just 1 vertical image the full length the blog will allow. What do you think? Is it too big? It just seems HUGE to me. Post your thoughts below.

FUJI FP-3000B - Summer nights with Callie

We bought a fire pit which has gotten more use than I ever expected. Here's to summer nights by the fire. And if you are wondering what Callie is doing with her hand in the air, I made her hold my phone so it would put some light on her face. Hand held @ 1/2 second on the Polaroid 600SE.

Weston Scott Canlas - 1 years old

Weston turned 1 on June 4th. Callie was out of town and we had already had a huge block party for him on Memorial Day (that's another blog post). So I decided to take some photos of him on that, his 1 yr birthday.

Today, he is up at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake having the big open heart surgery to fix his absent pulmonary valve and the hole in his heart.

Callie and I can not express enough thanks to all of the many family, friends, and the unknown who have been there for us over the past year +. It has meant the world to us.

Here's to you Westie, and your speedy recovery. Love, your Dad.

FUJI GF670 - Lehi V

The FUJI GF670 can go from square format (6x6) to horz (6x7) with the click of a switch (though not mid-roll). This was taken last week on a family session all shot on the FUJI GF670. I've been shooting this camera mostly in 6x6 format just because I don't see the world horizontally and square is "safe". However, I've been forcing myself to shoot 67 format horizontally only. If you follow this blog, you know I don't shoot horizontally very often, if ever. I refuse to shoot this camera vertically, EVER. What are you doing to push yourself?

Katie & Jay - 5.1.2010 - Montauk NY

You can probably tell by the amount of images in this post that I absolutely loved this wedding. This was the first time I'd been out to this part of the United States. It was an amazing destination wedding that started with a boat ride over to the rehearsal dinner, followed the guys hanging out in the morning the day of the wedding while the girls got ready. All at this amazing Yacht Club. I can't thank Katie and Jay enough for having me out for this amazing destination/celebration.

You can view the whole event and order prints HERE.

Planning a destination wedding of your own? Passport is current and have wedding will travel :).
